ABOUT YU YING

Born in Taiwan, Yu Ying grew up on a farming village learning to care for animals since a very early age. She left the farming life when young to pursue a career in make up and worked there until Ford began to open a factory in Taipei. Realising that there were no other cafe's around, Yu Ying put all her investment into a coffee shop for the Ford workers. At the same, time, Aishah's paternal grandfather temporarily relocated from the United Kingdom to Taiwan as part of Ford motor company.

After getting married, the two migrated to Australia and continued to work at Ford together. Following separation, Aishah's grandfather returned to Taiwan but Yu Ying remained in Australia to raise Aishah's dad. Yu Ying has been in Diamond Creek since 1989 and never intends to leave.

YU YING'S ROLE AT THE SNAKE BITE PROGRAM

Yu Ying is now semi retired. Currently working in a fish market, Yu Ying will help out where possible. She is very supportive of her grand daughter Aishah and aims to help out where she can for The Snake Bite Program.

As Yu Ying is terribly afraid of snakes, she will have no role working with them in any capacity but will provide support in other ways when necessary.
